Write All Along
An act of compositional and educational hubris
Anyone who knows me knows that I project the self-confidence of a majestic wild stallion in the background of a romance novel cover, but secretly I possess all the ego of an overweight hippopotamus stuck sideways in an elevator. This is why a title like "Write All Along" is both fitting and funny. Am I an expert in teaching writing? Yes. Do I have something valuable to say about topics that I have both an interest in and devote considerable time and study to? Sure, who doesn't. But am I someone who ever has said, "I told you so" with one of those smug smiles? No. Because I probably didn't tell you so because I assumed you didn't want to know. Because of my hippopotamusness. You get it.
